River Keepers, an organization that focuses on sustainable use of area waters is showing people what's wrong with the riverbanks, and what it can do to fix them. The tour stopped at a Horace woman's home, and she says the riverbank is slumping, eroding away her yard. She told bus riders that battling beavers is helping her slow the sliding riverbank. She says by protecting the vegetation around the banks that beavers stay away from, her property is now staying stable.

Greg Jackson – Horace Homeowner: “All the trees, protecting the trees, and the fencing, the erosion fencing, as far as we have seen , we have lost nothing.”

Representatives from the National Conservation and Cass County Soil Conservation District were also present to answer questions.
