Burcham's story has been inconsistent since the day of the murder. Yesterday in court, jurors heard the first of 2 interviews from 2009 between a detective and Burcham.
In it, the detective says to Burcham, "I'm going to tell you, Clarence, I know you had something to do with this."
The 2nd interview which jurors will hear today is allegedly when Burcham confesses to raping and killing Stafford because she called him retarded.
The defense claims Burcham is easily swayed because of low intelligence and was pushed into a confession. Cass County Commissioners are turning down a request by Oxbow homeowners to cut property taxes.
