(WDAY Sports) - Back home where the deer roam, some of the best in the area took part in the KX-Amateur.

This includes Amy Anderson, who's preparing for the Women's U-S Open. Anderson just misses the par putt on 15, but that was a rarity for her. She hit 6 birdies on the day, and shot a field-low 68 to finish 2nd in the tournament.

West Fargo's Grady Meyer with the nice chip on 13. He'd clean up for birdie. He shoots a 71 today, finishing in a tie for third.

Good day for former South Bruin Mason Kennedy, putting from the fringe on 14. It's in the cup for par. Kennedy also finished in that third place group.

Crookston native Travis Ross played the role of Rory Mcilroy. The day one leader was looking for eagle on the par 5, 13th. No sweat.

Ross shoots a 69, and goes 7-under for the title. Five strokes better than Anderson, who was a late entry into the field.
