Missouri River calms down in Bismarck/Mandan

The past 24 hours have been relatively quiet along the Missouri River in Bismarck - Mandan.

The river is holding at around 18 point 5 feet. It will continue to rise and fall over the next couple weeks. Releases from the Garrison Dam are at 150 thousand cubic feet per second. Mark Clark of the U.S Army Corps of Engineers says, " I think we are in pretty good shape right now but we need to continue to be vigilant and monitor the river we still have a ways to go." The Army Corps will decrease releases at Fort Peck to 60 thousand cfs tomorrow. The cities are just starting to see the extra water.
