FEMA tours Bismarck/Mandan to see flood damage
Personal assistance for flood victims in North Dakota may still be an option.

FEMA tours the area to see damage
Leaders toured Bismarck - Mandan by boat. This is another part of the process to declaring individual assistance. FEMA rejected the state's initial application for help with private flood damage. But that was made before the agency assessed all the damage.(Willie Nunn/FEMA PIO) "In order to get personal assistance we need to actually verify the reported damages with a joint state and FEMA team so and to get out get to the neighborhoods and see the impact on the ground in the community." The final decision will be made on a statewide need.
