BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Two men from the Dakotas have been sentenced for having sex with two runaway children.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says 22-year-old Robin Iron Shield of Cannonball, N.D., met a 13-year-old in April 2010 on the Internet. Purdon says when that youth and another 13-year-old ran away from home in July of that year, Iron Shield and 21-year-old Bruce Kills In Water Jr. of Little Eagle, S.D., picked them up in the Parshall area in northwest North Dakota and took them to a Fort Yates apartment, where the sexual abuse occurred.
The men were convicted in March. They each were sentenced this week to five years of supervised release, including one year at a halfway house and half a year of home confinement.
