It's a special time for head coach Jerry Loegering, because for the first time since starting the program back in 1975, his entire team is heading to the cities after winning the section 6 A championship. It's something the head coach knew was a possibilty when deciding to stick around for one more year.
Jerry Loegering – Barnesville coach: “it was something i hoped we could do and they did it. They're the ones that are taking me to state.”
Nikki Hammer – Barnesville Sr. Gofler: “i think honestly, he just didn't want to leave us. He's had so much fun with us. It's been great, we're very lucky to have him as a coach. “
Sam Hammer – Jr. Golfer: “it's really neat that we're finally going as a team. The Barnesville girls have never gone as a team. We're the first ones and it's his last year coaching. He's been around long enough to have three generations of our family.”
