Speedway racers honor Sam Scott
Glyndon, Minn. (WDAY TV) - An emotional night for many people at Buffalo River Speedway near Dilworth. Racers came out and took a reverse victory lap in honor of Franklin Sam Scott who died Thursday in a work accident.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
In tribute to the 22-year old, many fans wore special shirts. Several racers put R-I-P Sam Scott on their cars. Sam was an avid race fan who always made it out to Buffalo River Speedway whenever he could.
JEFF DRAKE - Racer and Friend of Scott: “Proud to support him proud to show his parents people support him, just proud to know the guy period. He was a great guy, he always helped out when you asked, you never had to ask him twice he just got it done.”
A memorial service is at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fargo, Tuesday afternoon at 2.
