Defecit may effect sheriff department
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The potential shutdown may have a big impact on the Clay County Sheriff's department.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY

If the government shuts down the computer system could go offline.
Computers in all Clay County squad cars can find any criminal record in the state and the country. If the government shuts down that computer system could go offline. State officials have not identified how "essential" services like law enforcement may or may not be effected.
Bill Bergquist – Clay County Sheriff: “Our officers, or deputies could still be out there and they need to do a license check is that going to be available? And that's something we don't really know as of now.”
Governor Dayton met with his budget commissioner and chief of staff today to discuss budget negotiations and prepare for a potential shutdown
