Friends remember man killed in corn accident

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Cass County Authorities have new information tonight about that tragic accident at Dakota Ag in Kindred.

The Sheriff's office has identified the man who died after being buried under a huge pile of corn as 22-year old Franklin "Sam" Scott of Fargo. He was an employee of Dakota Ag.

As investigators try to piece together the hows and whys of the accident, Sam Scott's closest friends are mourning his loss.

It is appropriate that some of Sam Scott's closest friends will gather tonight at Fargo's Tintmasters. It is where the 22 year old felt at home. Today, there is a lot of the why and how did this happen. But Sam's closest friends at clinging to everything they remember best about Sam.

Summer was a favorite of Sam's. Racing. Cars. For many of his friends, the season won't be the same without him. Friends have set up a special benefit fund for Sam's family. Donations are being accepted at all Gate City Banks.
