Day 2 at RibFestFargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It seems to be a trend the past 3-years during Rib Fest, but today anyway, the sun is back.
If you come out, its going to cost you about 12 bucks for a half rack of these ribs, you add a couple bucks, that will get you a meal. And the by the crowd turnout, people seem to be enjoying the food and the weather. Already today more than five thousand people have come through the gates; 6700 people yesterday.
Cold temps, and rain have plagued the big food fest the past few years, two years ago all 4 days were 50-degree temps. June is typically cool and rainy, but the 7 rib vendors and people eating up what they have to serve, say so far Rib Fest 2011 is a hit.
Sam Cheney - Enjoying Ribfest: “Yea I've driven by years before, and said it would suck to be those people standing out here ‘cause it was pouring rain. But it could be warmer. If it was like yesterday 90 some degrees, that be awesome.”
Tonight at 9 Rodney Adkins will take the Ribfest stage. Deep fried Oreo and Twinkie vendors may be trying a new thing, a deep friend peanut and butter and jelly sandwich.
