Jamestown's Kreis drafted by Washington

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Jamestown College pitcher Alex Kreis was selected by the Washington Nationals on Wednesday in the third day of the Major League draft.
The right-hander was the 1,057th overall pick and was taken in the 35th round.
The Grand Forks native had a 21-5 career record in 30 starts for the Jimmies. The college said Kreis plans to graduate in December.
