The Lakers took out top seed Perham on Saturday. D-L certainly didn't come into the postseason on fire, they lost 6 straight, but felt they were close to putting a run together.

Steve Fuhs - Detroit Lakes Head Coach: “We've been here the last few years. We're going to have to deal with our pitching depth and stuff like that. That's what becomes important in a double-elimination tournament. But, I have confidence. We have kids that have pitched all year and done it. So, if we come out and hit the ball and catch the ball I think we're going to be fine.”

Nate Baker – Detroit Lakes Sr. Infielder: “Being kind of a young team coming into this year, we can't lead it be more of a head game for us. We have to keep confidence and not think about it too much. Just go out there and be fundamentally perfect and we'll be fine.”

The Lakers face Warroad tomorrow, the other semi has Breckenridge clashing with Fergus Falls.
