ND oil patch intersection getting traffic lights

TIOGA, N.D. (AP) — Transportation officials plan to install traffic signals at a busy intersection in western North Dakota's booming oil patch.

TIOGA, N.D. (AP) — Transportation officials plan to install traffic signals at a busy intersection in western North Dakota's booming oil patch.

The lights will be put at the intersection of N.D. Highway 40 and U.S. Highway 2 south of Tioga. The contract will be bid next month.

State officials say they studied the intersection and determined the increase in traffic warranted more traffic controls. The signals will be in place by the end of the year.
