Perham basketball player Zach Gabbard is finally going home
Perham, Minn. (WDAY TV) - After 4 months in the hospital, Perham basketball player Zach Gabbard is finally going home.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY

Zach Gabbard, who collapsed and nearly died during a game in January, surprised his teammates by showing up at tonight's game against Virginia.
Tomorrow, he'll be released from the Perham Hospital rehab unit he's been in since early April. The 17-year-old also spent time in a Twin Cities hospital after he collapsed during a basketball game in January.
He required emergency open heart surgery.. Doctors later determined a respiratory infection may have caused him to collapse. Gabbard will continue his physical therapy from home.
