Oakes, ND (WDAY TV) - An Oakes, North Dakota manufacturing plant is shutting down for good. Yesterday, employees found out that J-L-G Industries will be closing at the end of August.

The parent company says the small plant that makes aerial platform lifts for commercial and military use just wasn't profitable. All 56 employees will lose their jobs, but bonuses will be offered to those who stay until August.

J-L-G was actually slated to close back in September of 2009, but a billion dollar military contract helped keep it open.
