Richland County garage thefts investigated

WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) — Residents of Richland County in southeastern North Dakota are being urged to keep their garages, sheds and vehicles locked after a string of thefts in the past couple of weeks.

Authorities say a theft from a garage in Lidgerwood resulted in a loss of nearly $10,000. The Daily News reports that thefts from garages in Hankinson and Mantador also are being investigated.

It's not known if the thefts are related.
