The 39-year-old is charged with murder and arson in connection to the deaths of John Cadotte and Megan Londo on February 19th, 2010 in Moorhead.
Zornes is accused of burning down the apartment building where their bodies were found. The judge's order excludes evidence coming from DNA swabs police got from Zornes after his arrest used to link him to a beverage can found at the scene of the fire.
His trial is set to start October 17th.
