Every year, State Bank allows its employees to each donate a thousand dollars to charities of their choice. Last week, we brought you the story of Alexa's Hope. The 14-year old died waiting for a lung transplant and her father Loren is a principal at the school.
Some of the state bank employees saw the story and decided to donate 4-thousand dollars to the charity that honors her.
ARLENE FRANCIS - State Bank of Fargo: “And I watched it and mulled it over and I saw it again in the morning and I saw the 6 am news and I said this is where I want my money to go and this touched my heart and this did and you know it is right, this is what I want to give my money to.”
Since it started 4-years ago, just over 2-million dollars from State Bank's Pay It Forward Program has been donated to local charities.
