The school board is adopting its new bullying policy. A new Minnesota study shows more students are being bullied, and the school had a bullying incident with the hockey team this year.
But the superintendent says not any one incident prompted the update, rather its protocol to do this every 4 years. The biggest change this time is dealing with technology. Texting, Facebook, and internet blogs can be an easy place for bullying to strike.
LYNNE KOVASH - Moorhead Superintendent: “That's the important thing is that parents also have to be a part of this in ways that they can help monitor usage of some of this electronic media has become very important.”
The board reviewed the policy tonight; it will likely be adopted at the next meeting.
