NDSU golfer Anderson qualifies for US Open

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State University standout golfer Amy Anderson has qualified for the U.S. Open.

The sophomore from Oxbow won the U.S. Open qualifier at the Medina Country Club in Minnesota on Monday to advance to the Open in July in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was among about three dozen golfers vying for two qualifier spots.

Anderson also qualified this spring for the NCAA Division I national championship, where she tied for 12th.
