7th Fargo Marathon has great weather despite forecast
Fargo, ND (WDAY Sports) - The seventh annual Fargo Marathon is in the books, and what a weekend it was.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
About 23-thousand runners participated in the various events. And thousands more lined the streets to cheer them on.
Tournament Director Mark Knutson says it was another successful year, thanks to a little help from Mother Nature.
Mark Knutson - Race Director: “You know it's ironic because earlier in the week. It was predicted for something short of a tsunami, I think, in Fargo this weekend and it ended up turning out to be probably our best weather weekend in the 7 year history of the race. It just made for a good weekend with respect to the participants but also the volunteers and the spectators out there.”
