Race organizer prepare for record shattering attendance

Latest estimates have the amount of entrants at 22,000, shattering the previous record. The race organizers have tried to prepare the best they can for the amount of people and think they can go bigger.

Mark Knutson - Race Director: “This year we switched the starting times of the races a little bit, spread them out. There is an hour between the half and the full, the congestion at the start of the race is just as bad at the end, so breaking those up will help us. It isn't to say we couldn't go to 25,000. A lot of races do close things off; streets can only handle so much.”

The marathon begins at 7:30 Saturday morning.
