School puts on all day fundraiser for student fighting cancer
Pelican Rapids, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Imagine the strength it'd take to work full-time, raise a child, and battle cancer; all while trying to get through high school.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Elizabeth Diaz is doing just that. 2-years ago, a tumor was found in her left arm. To help expenses, the school put on an all day fundraiser.
Students who donated 5 dollars got to use their cell phones or I-pods during school. There were also raffles, baked goods and a mobile taco stand, all of the proceeds going to Diaz.
