Police crack crime ring at Walmart in Fergus Falls

Fergus Falls, Minn. (WDAY TV) - It took several months, but police in Fergus Falls say they have cracked the case of a crime ring at Walmart.

They've arrested one person so far and expect four other arrests within the next week. Police say the group had a system.

Their secret weapon, what's called an alpha key to remove security devices. They would have people distract employees and then cover the items in a cart with other items.

Police say the group may have hit ten different Walmarts, including Alexandria and Sauk Centre.
