Oxbow's Amy Anderson qualifies for the National Championships

(WDAY Sports) - Oxbow's Amy Anderson has made a name for herself in Fargo-Moorhead as one of the top golfers in the area. Now she has the opportunity to do the same on college golf's biggest stage.

Anderson qualified for the National Championships yesterday by one stroke, finishing tied for 11th with a 5-over 221. It is a score that gave her one of two automatic individual bids to the big dance in Bryan, Texas. Needless to say she's thrilled.

Amy Anderson, NDSU Sophomore: “It's the best players in the country. It's really going to be a good experience to see where I stack up with them and it is going to be a challenge.”

The championships consist of 4 rounds of golf. The field consists of 126 players. It all gets underway May 18th.
