ND man plans to plead guilty in Gilby bank robbery
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks man says he will plead guilty to an armed holdup of a Gilby bank.
Clifton Patterson of Grand Forks is charged in federal court with three counts, including bank robbery by force or violence.
Authorities say Patterson and William Collins used a shotgun to threaten a teller during the May 2009 heist. The teller was ordered to get on the floor and was handcuffed.
Collins was sentenced in November to more than 26 years in prison.
A sentencing date for Patterson has not been scheduled.
