Benjamin Stavaas made his first court appearance in Otter Tail County court this morning. He was brought back from Colorado, after being convicted of burglary there.
Stavass is charged in Otter Tail County with 6 counts of animal cruelty and torture. Conditions include he is not to leave the state, stay in contact with his attorney, and have no contact with animals or weapons.
