Flat Stanley heads from Vining to NASA
Henning, Minn. (WDAY TV) – Now a Flat Stanley story that really has some legs.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
When 9-year old Blake Wallevand of Henning got his Flat Stanley, he went out of this world to get some serious extra credit.
Since Henning is home to Astronaut Karen Nyberg, Blake sent his Flat Stanley to NASA. Those training for an upcoming mission in space, including Nyberg, took the Flat Stanley to NASA training in Moscow, the Johnson Space, Center, and the Mock Up Space Station.
The astronauts documented the travels and a space-blogger even wrote about the Flat Stanley's journey.
