GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A jury on Tuesday began deliberating the case of a North Dakota man accused of killing his brother with a steel pipe jury.

Attorneys gave closing arguments Tuesday in the murder trial of 45-year-old Rodney Chisholm of Manvel, who's accused of killing 59-year-old Donald Chisholm last June in a dispute over land.

Rodney Chisholm claims he was defending himself. He testified for nearly six hours in his own defense. He said his brother was addicted to prescription drugs and went into a rage the day of the confrontation.

Prosecutors say parts of Chisholm's testimony were not consistent with what he told investigators last summer.

Chisholm could face life in prison if he's convicted.
