2 charged with murder, conspiracy in ND deathJAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Two people face murder and conspiracy charges in the death of a man whose body was found in a ditch near the small southeast North Dakota town of Spiritwood on Saturday.
Bond has been set at $450,000 each for 33-year-old Leron Howard and 22-year-old Janelle Cave of Jamestown. They're accused of killing 18-year-old Abdi Ali Ahmed, who Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser (KY'-zur) says had moved to Jamestown in March to live with Somali families there.
Kaiser hasn't said what led authorities to arrest the two suspects. He says a possible motive hasn't been determined.
Ahmed's body was sent to the state medical examiner for an autopsy. Authorities haven't said how he died.
Howard has asked for a public defender. Cave says she will seek to hire her own attorney.
