GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The prosecution rested its case Friday in the murder trial of Rodney Chisholm, who is accused of killing his brother last June in a dispute over land.
Forty-five-year-old Donald Chisholm's body was found northeast of Mekinock after he had been missing for 11 days.
The first defense witness called was a U.S. Department of Agriculture official who is involved in regulation of wetlands on farmland.
The Grand Forks Herald reported that trial testimony indicated the brothers had a dispute over development of some land that could threaten farm subsidies paid to Donald Chisholm.
