BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The person who won a $1 million Powerball lottery prize in North Dakota is choosing to remain anonymous.
North Dakota Lottery officials say the man who bought the winning ticket at a Killdeer convenience store has claimed the money won in the April 2 drawing.
Officials say the man thought he had won $100,000 and was in "complete shock" when he was told his actual winnings.
Powerball is played in most states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
