Yesterday was just as impressive as she finished 29th in the Boston Marathon, running a personal best of 2 hours, 45 minutes 16 seconds. It is good enough to qualify for the Olympic trials next year in Houston.
“It was just an incredible experience. The weather was perfect. The crowds were awesome. I felt great and it all kind of came together today. It's crazy; I never thought that I would actually do it. It was kind of in the back of my mind, running at like a 2:49, but to get 2:45 is surreal right now.”
Grindall was the 16th highest finishing American.
