Harwood, ND (WDAY TV) - It continues to be the youth of our area who are saving Cass and Clay counties from serious flood damage. Today it was West Fargo students turn to throw sandbags.
Students stopped in several spots along the Red River, both north and south of Fargo. This is video from the Harwood area. Students say they like getting out of school, but it's more than that.
MIKE DOMRES - 9th Grade, West Fargo: “Helping the people out with the river flooding coming up and the river's right over there so you gotta really go.”
Fargo wrapped up its sandbagging efforts earlier this afternoon.
