Volunteers ring dike Horace home

Horace, ND (WDAY TV) - Although Cass County didn't need volunteers Tuesday, today is a different story.

Cass County shuttled around 15 volunteers to ring dike this home near Horace. The Wild River has risen dramatically in the last few days and is now a few yards from this home.

Volunteers were able to ring dike the home in just over an hour.

RENNAE BURKE - Lives near Wild Rice: “I'd like to thank all the volunteers for coming out. Like I said, thank you is really not enough, but I just don't know what to say to tell them how very grateful I am.”

Burke says volunteers used 1300 of the 2000 sandbags shipped.
