The school district will hold a special ceremony to mark the first shovel of dirt moved for the new Wadena Deer Creek middle and high school building in less than a month on May 6th.

The new school will be built on the same location as the former high school. It was severely damaged by the June 17th tornado.

The 38 million dollar project is set to be completed by fall of 2012.
