Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo Police say foul play is not suspected

in the death of a man whose body was found behind an apartment

garage. Police say 38-year-old Corey Johnson had been reported missing

by his family on Dec. 2, the day after he was last seen.

Children passing the area saw the body sitting against the back of an apartment garage and called police. It was on 1st Avenue, across the street from the Teamster's parking lot.

Police say it appears the body has been there for quite some time and was exposed as the snow melted.

LT. JOE ANDERSON - Fargo Police Department: “At this point it's hard to determine if there's any foul play. There was no disturbance in the snow other than the initial footprints going up to the body to determine if he was living or deceased.”

The body has been sent for an autopsy. According to our archives, 38-year-old Corey Ray Johnson went missing this winter. He was last seen at his home the afternoon of December 1st.

He had left home on foot and didn't have access to a vehicle.
