Several roads closed due to flooding
(WDAY TV) - Running water is creating some road closures and detours.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
This is westbound I- 94, two miles west of Tower City. It is reduced to one lane due to a flood control barrier. A width restriction of 16 feet is in place and traffic speeds are reduced to 45 mph.
A number of roads in the region have water on them and reduced speeds. This morning the north Broadway Bridge between 37th Avenue North and Clay County Highway 32 was closed. That bridge will remain closed until the water goes down.
Also, the 12th Avenue North Bridge will be closed at noon tomorrow and also remain closed until the red goes down.
This has become a familiar sight for anyone who drives thru downtown Fargo. A section of 2nd Street north, near the Civic Center, closed to make way for a levee. The street was closed Sunday from 1st to 6th Avenues and levy work began tonight.
Traffic is being detoured to 4th Street north until the levee is removed. Starting tomorrow, Oakport Township and the Army Corps will start building emergency levees on Wall Street. The levees will go across Wall Street on the west side of Brentwood and Rolyn Acres and east of the 500 block of Wall Street. You can take a detour one mile north along 70th Avenue.
