It's one of at least 5-roads to close so far in the metro because of the rising Red River.

“It’s coming up quite a bit. Can’t do anything about it I guess. There is a lot of water there.”

High water has forced Highway 12, two miles east of Ortonville, to close. You should take Highways 75, 7, or 119 instead. Highway 12 at Horseshoe Lake is open, but there is water on the road.

The Salvation Army in Fargo is ready, and gearing up for the flood with trucks from around the region. 6-Salvation Army trucks and two trailers are at the ready at a holding site.

Trucks from Brainerd, Bismarck, Mandan and Fergus Falls will all be stationed. The agency will feed volunteers and help to people during the flood.

People in Lisbon can find out the latest flood outlook and how the town plans to protect itself from the rising Sheyenne River. A public flood meeting is Tuesday night at 7 at the Lisbon High School gym.
