ND ethanol plant increases production

CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) — A 2-year-old ethanol plant west of Casselton has increased its annual production capacity to 150 million gallons of ethanol per year.

CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) — A 2-year-old ethanol plant west of Casselton has increased its annual production capacity to 150 million gallons of ethanol per year.

The Forum newspaper reports that the Tharaldson Ethanol plant is now capable of using 54 million bushels of locally grown corn per year.

When production started just over two years ago, the plant consumed about 36 million bushels.
