Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A simple plane ride today, made all the difference in the life of an area veteran.
63-year old Art Carlson returned from his first flight ever, in a small plane. Fargo Flight School pilot, Danny Blaha took Art on a long ride over Fargo-Moorhead this afternoon, after the V-A Hospital learned that Art wanted to ride in a plane before his cancer made it too difficult.
A nurse and Art's sister went with Art, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last fall.
Art says the most impressive sight today, the flooding rivers and fields around Fargo-Moorhead.
