The First Lady reads to students at her former school
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A former Fargo teacher turned First Lady was back in town, reading to students at her former school.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
North Dakota's First Lady, Betsy Dalrymple read "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs," to students at Madison Elementary. It's part of the "Read to Lead" program, started at the school 3 years ago.
At the beginning of the year, fewer than half of the students were reaching their reading goals. Today in front of the first lady, it was announced 92 percent of students are at their goal.
Mrs. Dalrymple taught at Madison almost 40 years ago.
