Sheriff Paul Laney accepts the Government Leader Award
(WDAY TV) - A prestigious award in our nation’s capitol tonight for Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Laney accepted the Government Leader Award from the E 9-1-1 Institute at the 8th annual 9-1-1 Honors Gala. The Award recognizes the Federal, State or Local Government Leader who has made the greatest efforts to advance 9-1-1 communications.
Laney has helped secure 4 million dollars in grants to upgrade technology at the regional dispatch center, the first 9-1-1 center in the nation, to consolidate services across state lines. Laney was among 11 people honored at tonight's gala.
