Sanford Clinic to get some extra protection from Aqua Fence
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Flood fighting is getting innovative in South Fargo. 700-feet of the Norwegian flood wall Aqua Fence is on its way up at Sanford's reproductive clinic.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
This wall will give the clinic some extra protection in case any clay or sandbag dikes fail. Sanford bought the walls after the city purchased 21-hundred feet of them for this years flood fight. An aqua spokesman says the more water against the walls the sturdier they become.
HELGE KROGENES - Aqua Fence Chairman: “So we use the water to help us. We also have this shield which goes in front of it. We also use the water as a shock absorber.”
The walls were purchased after this years flood expo showcasing new flood fighting technology.
