DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — A new emergency manager should be on the job next month in North Dakota's Ramsey County.
Kristen Nelsen tells KZZY radio that she has accepted the job offer.
Nelsen works for the Lake Region District Health Unit as its emergency preparedness and response coordinator. She says her background gives her the skills needed to deal with the ongoing Devils Lake flooding.
Nelsen is replacing Tim Heisler (HYZ'-lur), who retired at the end of February after more than two decades in the post.
