FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A man accused of fleeing a Fargo halfway house after he was caught stealing from the facility says he will change his plea to guilty.

Jason Eagle Horse is charged in federal court with escape. He had pleaded not guilty earlier this month.

Authorities accuse Eagle Horse of walking away from Centre Inc. after he was told that Fargo police would charge him with theft. The incident allegedly was captured by Centre security cameras.

Court documents show that Eagle Horse left the halfway house on Jan. 31. His GPS monitor stopped transmitting later that day. He was arrested the next day in Fargo.

Eagle Horse was transferred from prison to Centre in October as part of an eight-year sentence for assault with a dangerous weapon.
