One of the Peregrine Falcons returns to its nest in downtown Fargo
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - At least one of the Peregrine Falcons that returns every year to Fargo is back. This is the falcon perched at its nest on top of the U-S bank in downtown Fargo.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Experts say it has the characteristics of the female. They're hoping the male will be showing up soon.
This is video from 2009. The falcon babies are being tagged for research. Fargo has one of just 2 nesting pairs in all of North Dakota.
WICK CORWIN - Audubon Society – Fargo: “You couldn't put more bird into a 2 pound package if you tried, they are the best of the best they are the fastest thing up there, and they are extremely rare.”
The Audubon Society has cameras up at the nest. The hope is to run the cameras live on the internet.
