WF Police: More money scams aimed at area businessesWest Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - West Fargo Police are seeing a spike in money scams aimed at area businesses. Police say at least once a week they're getting a report of some sort of scam. Usually it's sent through email.

The scammers ask to buy a service from the business, they try to send a check for more than the amount and then ask for money back. The checks are always bad.
DETECTIVE GREG WARREN - Fargo Police: “A lot of them are generated through Canada, but most of the money goes overseas, Nigeria, China, Spain it's you know hit and miss.”
Police say with the scams coming from other countries. The best they can do is just to inform the public in what to watch for.
