Otter Tail County Shooting Leaves Teen Girl Dead, Boy Wounded

AMOR, Minn. – A 16-year-old girl is dead and a 17-year-old boy was hospitalized with a gunshot wound following a shooting Monday night near the Otter Tail County town of Amor.

AMOR, Minn. – A 16-year-old girl is dead and a 17-year-old boy was hospitalized with a gunshot wound following a shooting Monday night near the Otter Tail County town of Amor.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 9:07 p.m. about the shooting at 30811 Twin Lake Road near Amor, according to a news release.

The girl was found dead at the scene, and the boy was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. Their names were not released.

“Initial investigation indicates that this incident is isolated to this residence, and there is no threat to the community at large,” the news release stated.

The sheriff’s office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the case.

Amor is in central Otter Tail County, about 23 miles northeast of Fergus Falls.
